Hypnosis for Stress Relief

A woman sitting in her car parked in the driveway at dusk, looking stressed.

Here’s how I like to think about hypnosis for stress relief.

There are situations in life where it’s normal to feel some level of stress.

Whether it’s a challenging situation at work, a conflict at home, or a major life transition.

There is, however, another layer of stress that can pop up when dealing with these types of situations.

Old patterns that get stirred up, like self-doubt, fear, or anxiety.

Internal blocks that add pressure that wouldn’t otherwise be there.

Everyday stress is something that can usually be relieved or brought back into balance through exercise, meditation, or eating well.

Mental, emotional, or physical practices to support your overall wellbeing.

But if stress reaches a point where it interferes with your ability to perform in the way you know you’re capable of, there could be a deeper pattern at play.

Something that undermines your confidence.

Or a relationship issue that keeps showing up again.

So hypnosis, or unconscious change as I refer to it, is about addressing these deeper patterns.

And hypnosis for stress relief is no different.

The distinction is that what’s targeted is the pattern that’s adding more stress to an already stressful situation.

Sometimes situations are stressful.

There are practical ways to relieve this stress.

Hypnosis for stress relief is about shifting the underlying patterns that create additional stress.

Stress that’s not driven by what’s actually happening, but by what we imagine, anticipate, or believe about a situation.
